HII and Thales announced on 3 November that, within the Expeditionary PathMaster framework, HII's REMUS 620 UUV with Thales' SAMDIS 600 sonar searched for mines, AI-enabled automatic target recognition classified and localised them, and the ANGLER effector with an ROV re-acquired, identified and neutralised them in an autonomous find-fix-finish chain. It follows a 2025 sonar-integration trial; the companies say the open architecture lets allied navies combine equipment from several suppliers, but give no date, sea area or number of runs.
