On 27 October Anthropic announced an expanded agreement with the US General Services Administration offering federal, state, local and tribal governments a 40% discount across Claude Enterprise, Claude for Government and the API. The company says about 500 US government organisations use Claude, that Claude for Government holds FedRAMP High, and that select models on Amazon Bedrock are authorised at DoD Impact Levels 4 and 5; it cites an unnamed federal security team that used Claude Mythos to find and patch, in about two days, a critical vulnerability a human penetration test had missed. The announcement does not address the dispute over the Defense Department's supply-chain risk designation.
